Illegal Indian Removed from Iselin, NJ

An Indian national, Ubaidullah Abdulrashid Radiowala a.k.a. Obed Radiowala, is removed by the Newark (NJ) office of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) yesterday for immigration violations.

Obed Radiowala was wanted by Indian authorities on charges of:

* Attempted murder
* Criminal conspiracy
* Extortion
* Forgery
* Cheating
* Theft
* Abetment use and possession of illegal firearms
* Transmission of information by using the internet to form an organized crime syndicate

According to ICE ERO:

“This individual’s long list of criminal charges in his home country, including attempted murder, show that he was a danger to the community here in the U.S.

Obed Radiowala who entered the U.S. illegally was arrested by ERO Newark on September 20, 2017 in Iselin, NJ and was held in detention until April 01, 2019.

Ubaidullah Abdulrashid Radiowala was turned over to Indian authorities on April 2, 2019 under “Public Safety” program after the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) dismissed his appeal.

256,085 aliens were removed or returned by ICE in fiscal year 2018.

The proportion of FY18 removals resulting from ICE arrests increased by nearly seventeen percent over the previous fiscal year, and the number of ICE interior removals in FY18 increased by nearly 14,000 from FY17.
