Indian Associations in New Jersey
New Jersey is home to an active and vibrant Indian community.
The state has multiple Indian associations to cater to the requirements of Tamils, Gujaratis, Bengalis, Maharashtrians, Kannadigas, Malayalees, Telugus and other desi groups.
These associations organize frequent events to celebrate Dassehra, Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi and Indian Independence Day, Republic Day that bond the community.
Most of these events include cultural programs like Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music concerts and as well as food bazaras serving Punjabi Kadi, Dokhla, Samosa, Tandoori Chicken, Masala Dosa, Utappam, Pongal, Dum Biryani etc.
