New Jersey 2020 Dasara Navratri Utsav is celebrated in the month of October on Newark Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Also known as Devi Navratri and Dushahra, the nine day festival is celebrated by performing puja to Goddess Durga and is concluded with Ayudha Puja and Vijaya Dasami or celebration of victory.
Newark Avenue 2020 Dasara Navratri Festival & Raas Garba
The nine day Dasara Navratri Hindu festival this year is celebrated from October 17-25, 2020.
The nine-day festival is celebrated by the Jersey City Indian commnunity in the evenings with Durga Puja, Ayudha Puja, Dandiyas and Raas Garba.
The Newark Avenue 2020 Navratri festival celebrations are scheduled on Fridays & Saturdays between October 23-31 in Little India business hub between Kennedy Blvd and Tonnel Avenue in Jersey City.
The Newark Avenue Navratri festival program includes Durga Puja, Aarti and Raas Garba performances by youth and women from local Indian community.

Edison NJ Dushahra Festival 2020
Dasara Navratri festival used to be celebrated at Lake Papaianni Park 100 Municipal Blvd with a one-day program of burning a 30ft effigy of demon king Ravan, Ram Leela and fireworks by Edison, New Jersey Indian community.
However, due to COVID-19 pandemic, no celebrations have been scheduled this year during the October 17-25 Hindu Dasara Festival.
