Come August 22, 2020, Newark Avenue/Journal Square in Jersey City would become the center of attraction for Indians in Northern New Jersey.
Like their fellow Desis, New Jersey Indians believe that once you surrender to Lord Ganesh and prostrate at his feet, good things start raining and all obstacles including H1-B Visa approval and renewal, OPT, Green Card processing problems vanish into thin air.
The 2020 New Jersey Ganesh Utsav Festival is celebrated from August 22 to August 26, 2020.
And the 2020 Ganesh Utsav on Newark Avenue in Jersey City like the earlier years will once again feature a 14-ft tall idol of Lord Ganesh and a 1,000lb modak.
Admission to New Jersey Ganesh Utsav 2020 is free.
The five-day Ganesh Utsav festival includes aarti, free darshan and aartis.

Besides Newark Avenue in Jersey City, Ganesh Utsav Festival is celebrated for nine days at Bridgewater Venkateswara Temple, Princeton Durga Temple and other Hindu Temples in New Jersey.
