In the third incident in the last five months, New Jersey police have arrested a desi on drugs related charges.
This time, it’s Trupal Patel who landed in the arms of New Jersey police.
Trupal Patel Arrested in Ocean County
Brick Township’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Trupal Patel (28) on Monday, May 16, 2016 after executing a drug related search warrant at a residence on Truman Drive in Brick.
Patel’s arrest (and that of two others) is said to be the outcome of a months-long investigation into the distribution of large amounts of marijuana.
Including the two other drugs related arrests in the area, the searches are said to have resulted in seizure of 4.6 pounds of marijuana, over one ounce of Psilocybin Mushrooms and $61,000 in cash.
Trupal Patel has been charged with Possession of Marijuana over 50 grams, Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana more than one ounce, Possession and Possession with intent to distribute Psilocybin Mushrooms over one ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Bail for Trupal Patel was set by Superior Court Judge Steven Nemeth for $150,000 no 10% option.
Patel also allegedly had an outstanding $5,000 warrant.
Trupal Patel must be presumed innocent until and unless a court finds him guilty.
