Krishn A. Rathod (24) and Sumeet K. Singh (20) were arrested in West Windsor Township Friday, December 4, 2015 after heroin was allegedly found in their White 2012 Dodge Charger parked near the Lewis B. Chamberlin Park.
Rathod was allegedly found with 162 decks of heroin stamped “Frank Lucas” and “Drano.”
West WindsorTownship police say Singh had seven decks of heroin stamped “Frank Lucas” and two used hypodermic syringes with affixed needles.
Just in case you’re curious, Frank Lucas is a former Harlem-based heroin dealer portrayed by Denzel Washington in the Hollywood hit American Gangster (2007).
Sumeet Singh is a resident of West Windsor Township (NJ) while Krish Rathod is from North Wales (PA).
Both Rathod and Singh have had previous run-ins with the law.
Krishn Rathod has been charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin.
Sumeet Singh has been charged with possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic syringe.
Bail has been set at $100,000 full for Rathod’s pending charges.
For Sumeet Singh, the bail was fixed at a lower amount – $10,000 and 10% of the amount.
In lieu of bail, both Rathod and Singh were turned over to the Mercer County Workhouse.
Rathod and Singh must be presumed innocent until and unless a court finds them guilty.
